Tanya Kaplun
Sonya Salon owner Tanya, immigrated to the US from the Soviet Union in 1989 at the age of 10. Being that hairdressing runs in her blood, Tanya decided to pursue a career in the beauty industry. After 22 years behind the chair, she decided it was time to build her own creative space filled with stylists who’s passions were similar to hers and something her great-grandmother, Sonya (who was also a hair dresser) would be proud of. So in 2013, Sonya Salon was born. In this artistic space, Tanya loves to do haircuts, dimensional color and completely transform people. She is also certified in Pure Brazilian Keratin Treatments. As a mother of two, Tanya has a passion for encouraging young clients to love coming into the salon to get their haircut. The love and passion Tanya has is clear in the wonderful business that she built and is definitely something her great-grandmother would be proud of to bare her name.
Dana Brown
Dana has been a stylist since 2001. She prides herself in her creativity with subtle & soft colors or bursts of vibrant fashion colors. Dana can also make your dreams come true if you have visions of longer and fuller hair with her extension work. Dana’s main motivation is to listen to your hair needs and help you achieve them through healthy hair changes. Her passion for bridal and special event styling is fueled by her attention to detail and love of making people feel beautiful.
Suzanne Austin
Suzanne has 17 years of experience behind the chair. Her passion for the trade grows everyday as she continues to make her clients feel beautiful. Suzanne specializes in updos (her braid work cannot be surpassed!), cutting, coloring and is certified in Pure Brazilian Keratin Treatments. She is also our Sonya Salon makeup specialist. One of Suzanne’s favorite things to do is bridal parties, and her “beautification on location” service can make sure your special day is unforgettable.
Erika Volb
Erika has been making people beautiful for 20 years. She is Redken Men’s & Women’s haircut trained with a focus on thick and curly hair. Erika enjoys the challenge of a color correction and the creativity of updos. Her knack for finishing makes her blowouts one of a kind. Erika as well knows the importance of continuing education and stays up with the latest techniques and current trends.
Emily Smith
I have been passionate about doing hair from a young age. I started working in a salon at 16. I absolutely love anything with color and I specialize in balayage and highlighting techniques. I believe in keeping the hair as healthy as possible while reaching your hair goals.
Laura Snare
Laura has been a professional cosmetologist for over 25 years. She loves to communicate with her clients to understand all their beauty needs then works hard to achieve them. Her expertise is in colors, highlights, cuts, blowouts, formal updos, keratin complex treatments and lash lifts. She is also certified in Weft & K-tip hair extensions. She believes in putting her own signature touch on each and every service.
